Frog Disection Day

Three classes had their "hands-on" operation day with their own sample Mr Froggie...on the last 6 February 2014; class 5 Ibn Khaldun, 5 Ibn Rusyd and 5 Al Khawarizmi.

Three systems were observed and studied together in groups of about 2-5 students.; Respiratory System, Digestive System and the most popular system in January / February / Test 1 2014, Blood Circulatory System.

A great shocked happened when more than one of the frogs in class 5 Al Khawarizmi "woke up" during the disection is on. Most probably the cloroform used is not in high concentration or less time in cloroform.

Hope, all of you students enjoy yourselves and this can increase the interest and achievement in Biology for SPM 2014, insya Allah...

Transpiration Experiment - Potometer

Notes :
Transpiration is a process occur in plants, where the water lost from the plants through stomata(more about stomata, klik here). Factors that can affect the rate of transpiration are light intensity, temperature, air movement(wind velocity) and humidity.

A potometer(definition, klik here) can be used to measure the rate of transpiration in plants; assuming that the water lost from plant is equal to water uptake by the plants.

Tips Akhir dan Aruhan Semangat.

 Tentunya anak-anak didik Tingkatan 5 sekarang sedang berhempas pulas mengulangkaji pelajaran, memandangkan hanya tinggal seminggu sahaja lagi peperiksaan SPM kalian. Diharapkan agar segala persediaan yang dibuat itu, tidak dilupai dengan bajaan lain seperti doa dan munajat kepadaNya, hubungan kemasyarakatan(terutama dengan ahli keluarga) and don't skip your meals. Tak lupa juga, dinasihatkan kalian semua dapat cukup rehat dan cukup tidur agar tidak terlalu kepenatan nanti. Jika ada yang mengambil supplement tambahan, teruskan mengambilnya...

Semoga segala usaha yang dibuat akan dikurniakan ketenangan dan keberkatan sepanjang tempoh peperiksaan itu nanti. Jangan dilupa, bahawa doa dan munajat itu biarlah berpanjangan dan berterusan walaupun telah tamat tempoh peperiksaan itu nanti...

What a lucky day...

for the students of 4 Ibn Rusyd 

today.....

The first experiment for them...to study the living processes of the unicellular organism. With the water sample taken by myself, Alhamdulillah and Subhanallah...

They found and they can see the Paramecium sp. moving around. It's a very fast movement. With that, the slide was put under the electric microscope which can be connected to the screne of a television.

And....

I can see the feeling of enjoyable moment

with this first experience.

May all of you will be more excited with this subject and

always remember to

do the reference 

and revision.
